    Glass plate with a view of a two-story adobe house in the San Joaquin Valley. A man in a suit and hat is sitting on a railing along the second story balcony, while a horse, harnessed to a small four wheeled buggy with a folding canopy, is tied to one of the porch posts below. The house is run down, with boards over one of the windows on the ground floor and no glass in the windows on the second floor.

The building is of Spanish design with red-tile roof, and includes a spacious office on the ground floor with storeroom in the rear, and attractive living quarters on the second floor for the superintendent. The substation serving the Palm Springs District an be seen in the rear.
