The Harold A. Parker Studio Collection of Negatives consists of 5157 glass plate negatives, film negatives, and panoramic negatives, 1889-1949, that depict commercial, residential and landscape sites in and around Pasadena and Southern California. The images provide a look at the commercial, residential and social development of Pasadena and surrounding areas during the early years of the twentieth century. The collection is especially rich in images of residential architecture in Pasadena, Altadena, and San Marino; images of Lake Tahoe; depictions of, and activities at, the Raymond, Maryland, and Huntington Hotels in Pasadena; and the commercial, social and cultural landscapes of Pasadena. The collection also provides, through its breadth and depth of subject matter, an example of the career activities of a commercial photographer in Southern California in the early years of the twentieth century.

An unidentified photograph album of snapshots chiefly of a group of young women who are possibly at a boarding school or summer camp in Southern California. They are seen in bathing clothes at a pool, on the beach, walking on boardwalks, putting on plays in costumes in a large house, and sometimes with young men. There are also some snapshots of family groups, many taken inside an Arts and Crafts style house. One photograph shows a woman holding an advertising sign for Uneeda Biscuits (introduced in 1898), made by the National Biscuit Company.

Two pieces of ephemera relating to Boston University's Sargent Camp; the first is entitled Application for Admission to the Boston University Summer Session in Physical Education at Sargent Camp, Peterborough, N.H.; the other is entitled Room Reservation Form. The application form is dated 1948. Neither form has been completed. Accompanying the two forms is an envelope addressed, in typescript, to "Miss Gladys B. Tarr, 89 Prospect St., Sar15 Gloucester, Mass." The items were laid into a catalog entitled Summer Session in Physical Education at Sargent Camp, (HEH RB# 603429).
