The background map was created for use in a promotional brochure for the radio program 'Death Valley Days' in 1931. Comments by Ed Stiles from Oral History of Ed Stiles. The photograph of the Twenty Mule Team on the bottom was staged and shot on Coyote Lake near Borate in 1892.
