Avalon harbor, Santa Catalina Island. 1904

A slightly elevated panoramic view of the harbor at Avalon, on Santa Catalina Island. There are dozens of unoccupied small boats in the harbor, as well as three small boats with their sails up. There are two tall sailing ships in the harbor, neither of which has their sails up. Avalon stretches back from the shore, with mostly larger buildings closer to the harbor, and smaller residences farther away. Much of the area is wooded, and there are high hills on the far side of Avalon. Writing in white at the bottom reads "Avalon. ; Catalina Island ; 1904."
