Album containing Weinland family photos, photos of the St. Francis Dam disaster site (before and after) and photos of friends from various Indian reservations in Southern California. Many personal snapshots of William and Caroline Weinland, their children, and grandchildren. Additionally, a majority of the views focus on Morongo and the surrounding reservations with images of Indians, missionaries, and various activities.

Images include sites in Alaska among the Eskimo and southern California at the Morongo Reservation. Other images are from Arizona, possibly Montana, and the Great Plains. Photographs in Alaska are by Canadian missionary and Weinland associate Henry Hartmann, William H. Weinland, and commercial photographer M. Lorenz. Many of the southern California images are by William Weinland. Includes a cyanotype of native American school children in southern California and contact prints of Banning, Calif. and the surrounding area.

Jesse Lee Home boarding school photograph album

An album featuring photographs of the Jesse Lee Home, a residential Methodist mission school for displaced children, mainly Alaskan Natives from the Seward Peninsula and the Aleutian Islands. Residents included those orphaned by the Spanish Flu pandemic, which hit Native communities particularly hard, and those whose parents were in tuberculosis sanatoria. The home opened in Unalaska in 1890 and moved to Seward in 1924; this album depicts the very early years of the home's operation in Seward, including buildings and group photos of teachers and Native students, both boys and girls. The photographs are uncaptioned, but four individuals have been identified from other sources: Anna Gould, an Aleut woman who served as cooking instructor and domestic helper at the school; Ethel Ard, dormitory matron and deaconess of the Methodist church; "Mr. Love," an industrial arts teacher who passed away in 1927; and Lura Olson, assistant to the girl's dormitory matron.
