This small collection primarily consists of correspondence addressed to Stanley John Weyman related to his historical novel Under the Red Robe. The bulk of the letters are from Edward Everett Rose, 1862-1939, an American playwright, who adapted the Weyman's novel for stage at the Haymarket Theater in 1896. Weyman also received letters from Cyril Maude, a manager, and actors from the production.
