- The collection consists of letters, manuscripts, documents, and photographs related to Spalding's life and interest in Los Angeles civic affairs. There is correspondence (1861-1941), business papers (1883-1929), and drafts of speeches (mainly given before Los Angeles civic organizations). Also included are Spalding's autobiography and additional biographical material.
