    David Laventhol (1933 - ) attended Yale and the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Times Mirror, he was an editor at the New York Herald Tribune, the Washington Post, and Newsday. Laventhol was President of Times Mirror from 1987-1993, Publisher & CEO from 1989-1993, and Editor-at-Large from 1994-1998. Series include correspondence, reports, and other material related to the Pulitzer Prize Committee, on which Laventhol sat, arranged chronologically. Date range is 1972-1993.
