Description

Approx. 20 items: memos, telegrams and other material related to the ongoing court case pitting LAT against a County Court that was later heard in the US Supreme Court. Also Approx. 25 items - memos, telegrams. Notable names and items include: memos from L.D. Hotchkiss to Harry Chandler on the subject of the best Republican to run against FDR in 1940 - Wendell Willkie and (Thomas) Dewey are both mentioned ; multi-page copy of 1941 legal document, "United States vs. Morgan" on a government order fixing rates ; collection of telegrams (1940) commenting on or seeking information on the case and the trial events.
