    Jewish Federation Council Annual Meeting

    Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Jewish Federation Council on Sunday, January 23, 1966. Two of the copies are drafts. Attached to the draft is a memo from Freddie Miller informing Otis Chandler on pertinent facts about the luncheon. Other items in this folder include are a copy of the Heritage Southwest Jewish Press and a newspaper clipping that refer to the award presented to Otis Chandler by the Jewish Federation Council.

    Los Angeles World Affairs Council Luncheon

    Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Los Angeles World Affairs Council on March 8, 1977. One of the copies has hand written notes on it. Other items in this folder include two flyers; a list of the head table; a two page reception list; three pages of hand written notes on yellow ruled paper; two copies of a memo from Freddie Miller providing details about the day's schedule; a two page article from Reuters regarding the KGB Police and the Los Angeles Times Bureau Chief; a receipt for a table of six; a letter from Harold C. Marlowe of Hal Marlowe Agency, Inc., extending a drinks invitation; a note card and five letters of praise; a letter from Arnold Caritan, District Manager of the Los Angeles District Office of the Automobile Club of Southern California, in which he forwards a picture he took with Chandler and is requesting Chandler to sign it so he can frame it; a response letter from Chandler to Arnold Caritan, returning the picture and informing Caritan that he is flattered; a letter from Charles W. Gates of Kidder, Peadbody & Co., offering Chandler financial services and a response thank you letter from Chandler; five items of correspondence consisting of three letters from Edmonde A. Haddad, Executive Director of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, regarding details about the event and a response thank you letter from Chandler.

    Publisher's Reception for New Employees

    Three pieces of correspondence pertaining to a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Publisher's Reception for New Employees on February 14, 1978. The first item is a note attached to the second item, a memo. The memo is from Freddie Miller and she refers to the memo attached which she sent out over Chandler's name. The third item is a memo sent from Bob Groundwater to Freddie Miller which is a list seating list for the executives.
