Chronicle" (9/9/1914), "Otis tells of the open shop...Los Angeles publisher takes stand..." ; 14-pp. copy of Thesis presented to Claremont Colleges, 1929, by John Homer Williams, "The Los Angeles Times and Public Opinion" ; booklet reprinted from LAT material originally published 10/1/1929 (the 19th anniversary of the Times Building bombing), titled "Lest we forget...the Forty-year war for a Free City, a history of the open shop in Los Angeles."
