Description: Approx. 35 items: two very early clips on the environment, 1895 and 1901; two batches of article copies in plastic sleeves, labeled 1923 - 1929 and 1930 - 1934 ; approx. 20 reprints of LAT articles and editorials on subjects relating to the environment (ecology) written between 1968 and 1974; other LAT article copies, some by Times Science Writer Irving Bengelsdorf, written between 1969 and 1971.

Also included is a booklet of LAT reprints from 1/8/1961, "Where we stand on Smog problem, what's been done, what's ahead."

Chapin, a collection of approx. 90 Chapin illustrations (published 1899); article copy, Among Ourselves, 5/1948, "personality sketch" on Chapin for the occasional column "The Men who made The Times."
