Description: Approx. 15 items: letter, 12/21/1939, to Norman Chandler from a representative (signature unreadable) of the Huntington Beach Scientific Angler's Club praising a "Distance Fly and Bait Champion," R.G. "Dick Miller, and recommending him for honors ; a "Place card" list for the banquet ; a collection of very rough handwritten notes apparently related to the banquet.

Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Editorial Awards Banquet on Friday, January 21, 1966. Three of the copies are typed. However one of them has hand written notes. The 4th copy is hand written. Other items in this folder include a list of awards and honors won in 1965 by Los Angeles Times Staffers; a memo from Freddie Miller to Otis Chandler regarding what kind of speech to give; a copy of the banquet's schedule, and a head table seating chart.
