Approx. 20 items. Material relates to a demand for retraction by Frank "One Eye" Dragna through his San Diego attorney, Rock Zaitzow. Certain pieces of information were provided, including "mug shots" of Dragna and some of his associates. Interoffice memos and notes from columnist Drew Pearson are in the file. In the end, the Times did print a correction stating that some claims in the article were found to be unsubstantiated. There was also a small number of items related to another complaint involving Abundavita Corp., actor Bob Cummings and right-winger Rev. Billy J. Hargis.

Robert Finch ; "International Press Institute Membership List, " 7/1/1968 ; Bassett's International vaccination booklet ; materials related to Bassett trip to Far East, contains letters, maps and travel guides related to the Pacific, Australia, the Philippines, etc. ; materials related to canceled trip to Israel - containing informational material. Split into two folders.

Approx. 25 items--there are duplicate copies of some speeches. The folder contains speech manuscripts for remarks delivered at Bowdoin College, the Federal Bar Assn., The Buckley School, a speech about the Watts Riots (1965), remarks given at a panel discussion in Nashville, speeches at the Wilshire Bar Assn., Historical Society of Southern California, a short speech titled "A Five-minute History of the Los Angeles Times," etc. There are also several news clippings related to talks by Bassett.
