    Government Assistance - Los Angeles County Relief

    Approx. 25 items: collection of LAT editorials and news stories [news with "spin" at times] on aspects of County relief funds and how they were spent. Subjects include Federal work camps during the Depression, taxpayer's "revolts," objectionable amounts being spent for relief in the County, etc. Some examples from the 1930s illustrate the "yellow journalism" of the era.
