Sub-group is given as "Los Angeles Street Names." Received by LAT 7/21/1988. Information on each form includes street name, year [of surveying or paving?] and, under "Remarks," a reason for the name, and sometimes a description of the terrain or mention of landmarks, etc. Split into two folders.

Leo Thiele Collection (17 items, received 2/2/1981) including an assortment of original art by Leo Thiele (editorial cartoons from Mirror News), photos of Thiele receiving awards, other memorabilia, 1950-1957. Original art work and clip from LAT depicting the judges in the Adolf Eichmann tribunal (Nazi war criminal Eichmann was executed in 1962), 1961. Paul Conrad, cartoon, 1965, 13" x 15." Illustration, probably done following Stan Laurel's death, (2/23/1965) shows Laurel & Hardy (who died in 1957) as angels. Conrad wrote a dedication on this print: "With best regards to Pete Calvert - Paul Conrad," 1965. Paul Conrad cartoon, caption begins, "O the sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home..." Inscription by Conrad reads - "Warmest regards to Earl Williams -- Paul C," 1967.
