    Two copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Times Mirror Company Annual Meeting on May 10, 1966. One of the copies has handwritten notes. Other items in this folder include two invitations, one sent out by Norman Chandler and the other by Otis Chandler; a two page check list for the meeting; an itinerary for the meeting; a note card with the agenda of the meeting printed on it; a fifty-three page three ring bound summary of the meeting; a seven page document entitled "Opening of the Meeting"; two copies of a memo from Freddie Miller to Walter Africa regarding the Annual Meeting preparations; a three page memo from Albert V. Casey to Otis Chandler regarding the Annual Meeting and the Executive Conference which includes the two day schedule; a one page fact sheet for Norman Chandler with a photocopy of an article attached; a nine page fact sheet for Otis Chandler; a memo from Freddie Miller to Otis Booth regarding the Annual Meeting Preparation; a memo from Otis Chandler to Nick Williams regarding the Times Mirror Company Executive Conference; six letters and three memos sent out by Otis Chandler requesting attendance to the Annual Meeting; a page of thirteen questions of possible floor questions asked of Otis Chandler; a two page outline of the Report to Directors to be given by Otis Chandler; a one page summary of what was covered in last year's speech; the first page of Otis Chandler's speech; and a four page transcript of the article the Los Angeles Times printed about the Annual Meeting, attached to it is a copy of the newspaper article.

    Three copies of a speech entitled "The Credibility Gap" given by Otis Chandler at the Claremont Men's College Public Affairs Forum on November 2, 1967. Other items in this folder are a newspaper clipping about the speech from the Claremont Courier; a thank you letter from George C.S. Benson, President of Claremont Men's College; a thank you letter from Stanton P. Welsh; two letters from Tom Skiles, Director of Public Relations at Claremont Men's College, one is an introduction letter and the other a thank you letter; a memo from Freddie Miller providing Otis Chandler with background information about the College; two items of correspondence between Peggy Gonzales of the Claremont Courier, and Otis Chandler regarding the article written about him; a letter to Freddie Miller from Tom Skiles regarding a schedule change; two letters of correspondence between Robert L. Emett, President of Emett & Chandler, and Otis Chandler about possibly making an appearance at the Claremont Colleges, two letters from W.F.     Copy of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Annual Meeting on May 9, 1967. Also included in this folder is a three page program schedule with a note attached to it from Paul N. Bertness to Otis Chandler; a list of questions and answers about the Los Angeles Times; a list of questions and answers about Publishers Paper Company; handwritten notes about satellite plants; two copies of scripts of the meeting; a copy of the speech given by Albert V. Casey; two copies of the invitation sent to employees that were shareholders, attached to them is a memo from Robert L. Flannes to Management Personnel advising them to allow employee shareholders to attend the meeting; a memo from Robert F. Erburu regarding proxy statements, with a copy of the statement attached to the memo; and a letter inviting Otis Chandler to the meeting sent by Norman Chandler, its signed "Dad."

Pulliam, Publisher of the Phoenix Republic and Gazette, regarding the timeliness of the speech topic; a memo from Freddie Miller to Paul Bertness regarding the format of the invitation, which includes two attached examples; seven pages of possible questions from stockholders; two pages of excerpts from the speech; two pieces of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Harry J. Reed, Editor of The Pontiac Press, in which Reed request a copy of the speech and Chandler sends him two versions of the speech; a copy of the agenda; a three page story about Sam Yorty; a note from Dennis C. Murphy, in which he attaches three documents: auditorium seating chard, program and estimated timing; and diagram of the exhibit area; a six page document listing questions that may be asked; a copy of the thirteen page copy of the meeting's script; a memo from Robert C. Lobdell to Nick Williams and James Bassett, which has attached a Summons and Complaint, regarding the case of Harry Schackman Complaint for Libel.
