- This collection forms part of the John Haskell Kemble maritime collection compiled by American maritime historian John Haskell Kemble (1912-1990). Materials date from approximately 1850-1990 and contain correspondence, research materials, manuscripts, navy records, family papers, scrapbooks, clippings, family photographs, and a small number of vessel logbooks and bylaws. Kemble was a world traveler and recognized maritime historian, and these lifelong interests are reflected throughout the collection. Of note is a folder of self-published naval vessel histories from Pearl Harbor (World War II). The collection is unprocessed.
