An autograph document written in a secretary hand; with an illegible signature. The title of the document is taken from the first line and it may have been written in November of 1560; the document is in excellent condition and the pages are tied with beige tape.

This manuscript, written in French by Professor Bon, contains 465 mounted samples of threads, strings and cords including silk thread. It also includes 38 pages of text about weaving, thread, etc. The manuscript was written in Lyon, France and includes a label in the front cover that states it is copy number 58 and intended for "Mr. L. Vernay." It is signed by Bon.

The manuscript was written by an unknown author who was probably a male student in England in the 1840s (he mentions an article in a 1837 magazine on ballooning). In it, the author writes generally on several different topics including: pneumatics, air balloons, geology, mines and Sir Humphry Davy, and coal. It contains many hand-drawn diagrams and illustrations (some in color). The volume has many blank pages.
