- Purchased from Bernard Quaritch Ltd, October 2022. From the library of Cox Macro. His manuscripts passed to his heir John Patteson, who sold them to Richard Beatniffe, a bookseller. The manuscripts were then sold to Dawson Turner and then to Hudson Gurney. John Henry Gurney inherited the library, and it was sold to Lord Cottesloe in 1936.
