Steven Centanni collection of Jack London, (bulk 1912-1915)
Manuscripts
This collection includes three manuscripts and 26 pieces of ephemera related to American author Jack London (1876-1916) and his second wife, writer Charmian London (1873-1955). The manuscripts consist of one letter from Jeanne Demoulin to Charmian London, dated June 14, 1935 (HM 82423); manuscript notes by Jack London for The Accident (HM 82424); and manuscript notes by Jack London for a New York novel (HM 82425). There is also one box of ephemera which includes three Bosworth Inc. film advertisements for films based on London's works (ca. 1914); a United States Navy recruiting pamphlet citing a letter by London (ca. 1916); an offprint of an article about Finn Haakon Frolich's bust of Jack London ([1915?]); a pamphlet in Esperanto of London's The Strength of the Strong (1914); pamphlets of London's Revolution, The Scab, and The Tramp; a reproduction of a photograph of Charmian London; nine pieces of Charmian London's stationery; and two publishers' advertising booklets for London consisting of one for The Star Rover, and another titled, "Jack London: The Author with the Sales."

The collection includes literary manuscripts of most of London's works, extensive correspondence files, documents, photographs, ephemera, and scrapbooks.

Cecile K. Bosworth papers
Manuscripts
The majority of the material is made up of correspondence between Cecile, her friends Woodrow and Lois NeSmith and members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and various prominent Hollywood producers and directors, such as Sol Lesser, about the creation of a Hollywood film museum. There is also a letter by Cecile to George Seaton, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, about recognition and a tribute to her actor husband Hobart Bosworth and director Francis Boggs. There is also a folder of correspondence regarding Jack London and his home opening as a state park (Hobart had produced and directed several movies based upon Jack London's books). Jack London is also mentioned throughout the collection. There are also a few pages of notes by Cecile about how she met Hobart and their courtship. Also included is a transcript of a radio interview with Hobart Bosworth in 1937. There are 13 newspaper clippings including an obituary for Cecile Bosworth in 1997 and two pieces of ephemera.
