Copies of three articles written by B. R. Gossick about English electrical engineer, physicist, and mathematician Oliver Heaviside, dated 1968 (29 pages), 1973 (15 pages), and 1974 (2 pages). Also includes three letters dated 1968 between Bern Dibner and William J. Crouch, editor of the University of Kentucky Press, regarding Dibner's review of the 1968 article and another article by Gossick, regarding Charles Wheatstone, for publication; and three letters, two dated 1968 and one dated 1975, between Gossick and Dibner regarding the articles on Heaviside.

Isaac Newton et ses travaux: copy of book chapter

This manuscript is a handwritten transcription, in French, of the Chapter "Newton et ses Travaux" from Bertrand's book Les fondateurs de l'astronomie moderne: Copernic, Tycho Brahé, Kepler, Galilée, Newton, par Joseph Bertrand. it was a gift from Francisco José Mariano Duarte, a Venezuelan mathematician and scientist., to the Babson Institute in 1956. Duarte may well be the author of the manuscript. It is bound in leather and the cover is stamped "Babson Institute" with "Newton" on the spine.

Death mask of Sir Isaac Newton : [object]

One of only five known originals, the masks were prepared shortly after Newton's death by sculptor John Michael Rysbrack (1694-1770) and subsequently used as the model for his bust of Newton in Westminster Abbey. Copies of the mask were sent to French sculptor Louis-Franc̦ois Roubiliac (1702-1762) for his statue of Newton in Trinity College Chapel.
