- HM 82606 - Brewings notebook, Sept. - Decr. 1781. Contemporary limp reversed calf covers; fragile manuscript paper label secured to front cover with wax. Initialed and dated by Barclay. 8x12 cm., 92 pages; laid into volume manuscript page titled "Example" with "Brewed..." on verso. Notebook tabulates the brewery's production on a daily basis from Sept. to Dec. 1781; recording volumes and temperatures for each of the mashing stages and also includes a plan for the daily timings of these processes over several days.
