Description: This oversize volume contains almost two hundred hand-drawn maps of city blocks in Berkeley, California (including owners' names, tract names, etc.). The block book contains two loose sheets: block map of "Villa Homestead" (Bay Street and Union Avenue, p.12) and "Map of Pine Terrace" (Pine Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, and Webster Street, 1906, p. 178).

This map, surveyed by John C. Goldsworthy, shows the subdivision of the Clement Tract between San Pedro Street, Pine Street, Clement Street, and Walnut Grove Street in the city of Los Angeles as of September 1887. It is measured in feet, and the scale is one hundred feet per inch.
