This collection contains the papers of Gloria Molina, who was a Los Angeles County Supervisor of the First Supervisorial District from 1991 to 2014. This collection is mainly comprised of records created and accumulated during her years on the Board of Supervisors. These materials -- including correspondence, agenda, motions, reports, press clippings, notes, ephemera, site plans, photographs, audiovisual and electronic resources -- document a wide range of activities performed by Molina and her staff, such as project planning, legislation, lawsuits, redistricting, campaigning, and budget planning.

This report was written by engineer Samuel Storrow "at the request of the Spring Valley Water Company in order to make a record of certain studies of The Additional Water Supply Available for Greater San Francisco." It looks at two main possible supplies of water: the Yuba River and the San Joaquin River. The report includes a table of contents, tables, and black and white photographs.

The collection deals primarily with the professional and personal activities of Samuel Brooks Morris, a civil engineer of note in Southern California who was most active from the 1930s into the early 1960s. The collection deals with local (Pasadena and Los Angeles), state and national engineering concerns, largely related to water reclamation, dams, hydrogeology, water litigation, and a wide range of related technical publications. The material consists of a highly diverse mix of manuscripts and printed materials, including correspondence, maps, notes, charts, fliers, and brochures, often interspersed within each folder. The correspondence is primarly to and from colleagues, but also includes discusion with government officials at all levels from local to national. The collection includes a small number of photographs, located in appropriate sections of the collection by subject.

Includes a detailed examination of the water supply needed for different areas of the city, as well as a thorough analysis of potential water resources and their costs. Also includes three maps of Covina (c.1915).
