Description: The manuscript describes the costs and specifications of work to be done to construct the Canal de Picardie in the province of Picardy in northern France along the Somme River. It was prepared by Charbisse and Prefontene, egineers to King XV. It includes details regarding: geology of the area; locks and bridges to be built; access roads; canal embankments; construction materials needed; removal of houses; aqueducts to be built; and finally, the total cost of the project.
