This manuscript, written in French by Professor Bon, contains 465 mounted samples of threads, strings and cords including silk thread. It also includes 38 pages of text about weaving, thread, etc. The manuscript was written in Lyon, France and includes a label in the front cover that states it is copy number 58 and intended for "Mr. L. Vernay." It is signed by Bon.

Written in Montauban, France. The elaborately done title page contains a written note beneath the title which tells the reader that this is a course of study for her that is useful and enjoyable. Ms. Bonnefon introduces her manuscript with a dedication epistle to her father, a point found at the end of the dedication with her signature. The essay starts with a discussion on the sphere/globe and geography of all countries (including Canada and Labrador). There is particular emphasis on Europe and Asia, noting capitals of the individual countries. She also lists main canals, rivers, provinces, and capitals in detail for France. Next sessions are on arithmetic, sphere, astronomy and geography. There is a "Table de matiere ..." after the geogrpahy section for the entire essay. Numerous drawings and diagrams throughout. The last 2 pages of the manuscript contain a song.

Pierre Joseph Jeunot journal

The journal that Jeunot kept during his service in the West India Islands and Virginia. The manuscript contains detailed information on vessels of the French fleet, the combined French and Spanish fleets, together with a list 124 English vessels, and gives detailed accounts of the French operations at Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Kitts, Tobago, and St. Christopher as well as a long account of the engagement in Chesapeake Capes (Sept. 5, 1781). The manuscript also includes the Articles of Capitulation of the Islands of Tobago and St. Christopher, as well as the "Capitulation of York in Virginia made between Lord Cornwallis Commander General of the British Troops in Virginia and Maryland..." and a list of the French regiments engaged in the siege of Yorktown, together with a list of the ships engaged and the names of their commanders. Also included are contains directions for making fuses, disquisitions of the artillery employed in the French fleet, some poems, religious reflections, scattered daily entries penned in the early 1800s (in a different hand), etc.

The report, which is written in French, describes the natural process for making Damascus steel, with a focus on the Syrian process, and compares this with steel-making practices in Carinthia, Styria, and France. On the back page of the manuscript is a drawing, in pencil, of two objects; the origin and date of this drawing is unknown, but appears to be later than the text of the manuscript.

In this handwritten, signed manuscript, Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire is discussing evolutionary theory from a philosophical and historical standpoint. He cites a number of important scientists and philosophers such as Georges-Louis Lecler, Comte de Buffon, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Johann Wolfgang von Geothe, Johannes Müller, Lorenz Oken, Georges Cuvier, Jan van der Hoeven, Henri Dutrochet, Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg, and devotes several pages of the manuscript to a discussion of Jean-Baptiste Lamarck. It is likely that this manuscript was intended for publication and as a follow-up to another unpublished memoir titled "Mémoire pour établier que le principe de l'unité typéale de l'organisation contient des élémens revelatoires..." The manuscript is in French.
