- A bound music manuscript with score and words, bound in red morocco gilt; the manuscript was not composed by Rousseau but only copied out and illustrated by him. Laid into the volume are a page from the sale catalogue and a letter from J. Pearson and Company, Rare Books and Autographs, to Messers. B. F. Stevens and Brown (March 25, 1902); the letter provides provenance for the volume and states it was written by Rousseau for presentation to his patron, the Marquis de Girardin, whose arms are on the binding.
