These minutes contain records of the Los Angeles Urological Association's meetings and finances. They include: financial statements, the programs from dinner meetings, the names of Association members and applicants, and references to Association conferences. The minutes also note the titles of various lectures presented at Association functions on medical topics relating to Urology.

Minute books of the Los Angeles County Medical Association

The collection contains forty-one (41) volumes of minute books of the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) from 1871 to 1970. The collection consists of three series: 1. four initial minute books from meetings of the association from its beginning in 1871 to 1905; 2. twenty-eight volumes of minutes from LACMA's Board of Councilors from 1905 to 1970; and 3. nine volumes of the minutes of LACMA's Board of Trustees from 1920 to 1966. The volumes are labeled Volume 1-41; each series is arranged in chronological order. Several prominent California physicians held chief positions with LACMA including Walter Jarvis Barlow, Lewis T. Bullock, George Dock, William R. Molony, and Joseph Pomeroy Widney. Most of the volumes are typewritten but some are handwritten.

Hospital Building Association minutes

The volume contains the meeting minutes (and the By-Laws) of the Hospital Building Association from 1895 to 1904. Although the first several pages consist of handwritten text, the majority of the volume contains items glued into the pages including: typed notes, pieces of correspondence, and clippings. The minutes deal with the activities of the association as well as its finances. The volume also contains the minutes of the Los Angeles College Clinic Association from 1905 to 1923.

The San Antonio Fruit Exchange records contains 46 items from 1893 to 1947, including annual reports, minutes, stock books and by-laws. The annual reports from 1894 to 1923 of the exchange contain information on the business practices of the exchange and its members along with comments that refer more generally to the citrus industry as a whole. The minutes from 1894 to 1924 are from Board of Director and stockholder meetings and contain information on the Exchange's day-to-day operations. The stock books from 1893 to 1926 contain information on the group's stockholders, including lists of names and actual stock certificates. The by-laws portion of the collection from 1893 to 1947 contains both the group's original bylaws as well as their subsequent revisions. Issues of prominence within the collection include the history of the California citrus fruit industry; the cooperative marketing of citrus fruits; the California Fruit Growers Exchange; the San Antonio Fruit Exchange; the Southern California Fruit Exchange; and Sunkist Growers, Inc.
