Frank Hubbard letters to family

These seven letters were written by Frank Hubbard to his family back in New Jersey. The letters are addressed to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hubbard, and his brother William C. Hubbard. Hubbard wrote these letters from Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado. He talks about trying to find employment, traveling in the area, going to social events, etc. He also mentions that observing the Sabbath is making it difficult to find a job. Hubbard also talks about perhaps going further west to Wyoming or Nevada.

Jones, to Yerba Buena Island, California (approximately 1901 to 1914). The collection also includes records of transfer and diagrams of lots of land in San Francisco sold by Elbert P. Jones, from 1848 to 1851.

Letter from George A. Tykel to Daniel J. Hubbard written "at School House" near Ft. Sevastopol, Thurston County, Washington Territory. In the letter Tykel writes that "all the rage is now the mines," of the cost of Indian horses ("in great demand" for mine work), and of the outlook for opening a fruit store where steamers arrive from San Francisco.
