Manuscripts
The regimental orderly book, including regimental, brigade, and general orders, kept by Peter Crane, ensign and adjutant of the regiment. The manuscipt consists of two parts. The first contains regimental, bridgade, and general orders of the 24th Regiment from January 1 through Feb. 29, 1776. The second portion covers the month between July 7 and through August 7, 1776 and titled "General Orders by the Honorable Horatio Gates Major General in the Army of the United States of North America and Commander of the Northern Department at Ticonderoga."
