These two documents concern land sold by John J. Davis and his wife Esther to Nicholas Augustus Den on December 29, 1849. A combined four lots of land in Stockton, California, changed hands. HM 26195 is a printed form filled in by hand, while HM 26196 is handwritten in its entirety. Judge James R. Reynolds signed both documents.
