    Certificate granting Marion Balderston the dignity of an honorary member of the civil division of the order of the British empire

    Manuscripts

    The certificate is a printed form, filled in and signed by Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The MBE was awarded to Marion Balderston for charitable work with the British War Relief during the war and from 1945-1949 she ran a "Personal Parcels Service" which sent food etc. to British families.
