    A collection of business, military, political, and personal correspondence of George B. McClellan, chiefly letters written by him. The largest portion of the collection consists of 22 letters from McClellan to Edward Henry Wright and covers the period from 1863 to 1885. Other correspondents include J. E. Peyton, David Hunter, John Van Buren, William H. Aspinwall, Robert Patterson, and others. Also included are a few letters by McClellan's wife Ellen Mary Marcy McClellan.

There are also a few manuscripts and poems by Edward DeWitt Taylor and his father, Edward Robeson Taylor (1838-1923), and others. There is one letter by Jack London to Taylor, 1909 November 27. Much of the collection is unsorted and undated.
