Bound typescript containing a portion of Jesse W. Crosby's autobiography. The autobiography begins with Crosby's childhood and introduction to Mormonism, and focuses on his mission work in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Quebec, and Maine. It concludes with Crosby's call to join a British mission in 1850 (HM 27975). The rest of the volume contains a complete copy of James C. Bilderback's Masonry and Mormonism: Nauvoo, Illinois, 1841-1847, published in 1937 (HM 72976).

The first of these diary transcripts covers the years from approximately 1851-1853, with references back to 1844. In it, James Farmer gives a brief description of his family and youth, leading up to his conversion to Mormonism while living in Leicester, England. It emphasizes his mission work with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in England, as well as the religious opposition faced by the LDS Church. The diary also describes his decision to "go home to Zion" (Utah) and his sea voyage from Liverpool to New Orleans.

A carbon copy, created in 1938, of a typescript transcription of the autobiography of Milo Andrus. The 14-page, bound manuscript covers the period from 1779 to 1875, touching on Andrus' early life, his conversion to Mormonism, his work in Florence, Ohio and Nauvoo, Illinois, his marriages, his various positions of leadership in the Mormon Church, and his travels as a missionary and pioneer. Andrus also mentions his father's opposition to his participation in Mormonism, incidences of cholera among early Mormons, and the assassinations of Joseph and Hyrum Smith.

Correspondence relating to Olive Percival mainly concerns letters from her friends and publisher. There are 341 pieces of ephemera. It is arranged by type and subject, and consists of an appointment book, bookmarks, bookplates, bulletins, empty envelopes, fliers, invoices, legal documents, military records, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, excerpts of periodicals, receipts, scrapbooks, tracts, and miscellaneous United States permits and a passport. The majority of the ephemera relates to Sheffield, Illinois, where Olive Percival was born.
