Gustave Eiffel letter to Paul Buquet
Manuscripts
The letter, written by Eiffel to the director of his alma mater in June 1902, was presented to the École Centrale Paris along with a copy of Eiffel's book La tour de trois cents métres, 1900. In the letter, Eiffel describes his book and talks about the Eiffel Tower, its history and the modifications done to to the tower for the Exposition of 1900. He also states that he hopes the copy of the book will help future students of the school. The letter is in French.

This letter is written to John Lee at Theatre Royal, Richmond, Surrey. Kean asks "What day do I open in Cheltenham?" He also complains about money and someone he calls a "stupid son of a bitch." The letter is not dated but the letter has the posted date of 1831, August 1.

John Burroughs letter to "Miss White" and poem
Manuscripts
John Burroughs wrote this letter to "Miss White" from his home in West Park, New York, talking about his poem "Waiting" (written in 1862). He explains that the poem reflected his future philosophy of life. Accompanying the letter is a handwritten copy of the poem in Burroughs' hand. Both items are glued on album pages.
