Wellington-Beresford collection

The collection covers the training and equipping of Portuguese troops during the Peninsular War; acquisition of supplies; troop movements during the war; and routine administrative matters. It is primarily dispatches from Wellington to Beresford giving instructions; map of a "Plan of Attack Upon the French on the Heights of Rolica," and a lock of hair taken from the mane of the Duke of Wellington's horse.
