Chiefly correspondence, the collection also contains manuscripts (including diaries, address books of woman suffrage workers, poetry and music), printed matter and ephemera, large scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, some photographs, and an extensive collection of pamphlets and broadsides on the topic of woman suffrage.

This material includes interviews with poets, correspondence, and manuscripts. In 1970, Henri Coulette interviewed fourteen American poets; these interviews have been migrated to compact discs (HM 83713-82726). Also included is a memorial essay about Henri Coulette written by Robert Dana ([Apr. 20, 1988], HM 83727); two letters by Zbignew Herbert (1969, HM 83728-83729); two letters and a poem by Donald Justice (1969-1970, HM 83730-83731); and one letter by W.D. Snodgrass (1968, HM 83732). All material is in excellent condition.
