    Series 4. Funk Foundation

    Manuscripts

This series contains: The Funk Foundation for Medical Research was incorporated in March 1947 as a non-profit organization to investigate cancer and other medical research problems. Funk appears to have continued his work and association with the U.S. Vitamin Corporation for most of the early years and the Foundation was primarily a desire to have independent laboratory space and pursue other research topics. In 1952 the Foundation moved to headquarters in West 6th St., New York. Some of the items in this series appear to be drafts of work to be released on behalf of the foundation or part of their publication endeavors.
