The manuscripts include French military orders (1678) and a document signed by Charles II, King of England (1662). The volumes are both literary and historical, most with some type of illustration. The collection also includes a small amount of personal correspondence and a larger amount of correspondence with dealers and the Henry E. Huntington Library concerning her collection.
