    The collection consists of the material collected by Gary B. Cowles during his research on the original Busch Gardens in Pasadena, California. The collection is chiefly made up of 28 binders of research material that include newspaper clippings, copies of newspaper clippings, photographs, postcards, etc., all related to Busch Gardens, the Busch family and their Pasadena neighbors, Anheuser-Busch Company, and Pasadena history, as well as the gardener Robert Gordon Fraser. Also included: research notes, ephemera, tourism material, monographs, compact discs, slides, glass plate negatives, drawings, watercolors, and maps. Cataloger noted Cowles' orginal item numbers and all of Cowles' original notes were kept and help with photograph identification.
