14 letters that Burr wrote to John Vanderlyn, an American neoclassical artist and Burr's protegé, between Aug. 7 and Sept. 22 from Amsterdam. The letters discuss various commissions and unfinished business that Burr had asked Vanderlyn to attend to, including two portraits of his daughter Theodosia.

A collection of letters and legal documents of Aaron Burr, Louis Le Guen, and Thomas Ludlow Ogden, chiefly regarding the loan granted by Le Guen to Burr in 1799 and settling of accounts from 1805 to 1820. Also included are a few items pertaining to the Le Guen vs. Gouverneur and Kemble court case, including Burr's letter to Alexander Hamilton (November 15, 1803), and another case handled by Burr on Le Guen's behalf. Other correspondents include Cadwallader R. Colden, Charles Leggett, and Le Guen's wife, Mary Hylton Le Guen.

A collection containing 51 items of official correspondence and papers of General Andrew Pickens, chiefly those accumulated during his service as federal commissioner in 1785-1797. Included is Pickens' correspondence with the Governor of South Carolina, Thomas Pinckney, other federal commissioners, and the Indian chief Alexander McGillivray. The collection also contains communications from the Congress and the War Department, and other related papers. Also included are a few items related to the military career, business, and personal affairs of Pickens, including documents pertaining to Andrew Pickens and Company. Correspondents include James McHenry, Henry Knox, John Armstrong, Marinus Willett, and others. There are also a few items related to Pickens' son, Andrew Pickens (1779-1838), Governor of South Carolina in 1816-1818, including two letters to him from Thomas Flournoy (1820).
