Description: This box includes "Anne Askew, Imitation," written in French; "The Lord's Prayer;" "My darling, thou wilt never know," written on the death of her sister Emily; and "There's little joy in life for me," written on the death of her sister Anne. The letters include one letter to Mrs. Elizabeth Gaskell, and a group of letters to William Smith Williams.

The majority of the letters are written to her friend Ellen Nussey, along with a small group of letters to her mentor, William Smith Williams, and one letter to her biographer, Elizabeth Gaskell.
