In Latin, with German synonyms for plant names. Chancery quarto, with paper measuring 21.2 x 14.8 cm; Text in one column in main text with 32-33 lines to a full-page; area of text: 15.5 x 8.7 cm. With initial spaces with guide-letters, and foliation; without signatures and catchwords. Includes 150 woodcut illustrations of plants. Signatures: [*⁴ a-t⁸ 2a⁸ 2b¹⁰ (t8 blank)]. In Huntington Library copy, the illustrations are hand-colored. Binding error: leaf xxviij bound after leaf xxx. Binding: contemporary German blindstamp pigskin; heavily repaired. Manuscript waste under paper pastedown on inside front cover.

Nach Christi geburdt tausent vierhundert. vn[d] in dem neün undneüntzigisten iare. Edited by Johann von Cube. Chancery folio, with paper measuring 27.4 x 18.5 cm. Text in two columns, each measuring approximately 20.5 x 6.2 cm. Illustrated throughout with woodcuts, mainly depicting plants, but also some animals and apparatus, etc. Signatures: pi⁴ a-v⁸ w⁸ x-z⁸ A-D⁸ E⁶ F⁸ G-H⁶ I⁸ (I8 blank). Huntington Library copy is hand colored. Imperfect: leaves pi1, pi4, a1 and a3 lacking. Leaves e2 and e3 missing lower right corner, with slight loss of text. Binding: contemporary German blindstamped calfskin over wooden boards; remnants of two clasps. Rebacked.
