Bookplate on front pastedown: Leander van Ess, Exbenediktiner und Pfarrer zu Schwalenberg. Inscription on leaf a2r: L. van Ess Warburgi. Purchased from Van Ess by Sir Thomas Phillipps in 1824. Inherited by Thomas FitzRoy Fenwick, Phillipps' grandson in 1872. Purchased by A.S.W. Rosenbach from Fenwick in 1923 and sold to Henry Huntington.
