"S.S. Peru: Capacities of Holds, Bunkers, Stores, Etc."--title at bottom of sheet. "1/6" = 1 foot"--scale given at the bottom of the drawing. Hand drawn on vellum. This sheet has four tables giving the capacities for storage of cargo, water, coal and the cubic feet of rooms; also drawn is a simplified profile of the Peru showing the cargo holds. "Union Iron Works, Shipyard, June 30, 1892, Drawer No., Job No."--purple stamp, lower right corner, date in ms., in ink. "Case No. 406s Sheet No. 5437s"--purple stamp, lower right corner, numbers in ms., in ink. The Peru operated for Pacific Mail between 1892 and 1919; built for PMSSCO by Union Iron Works in 1891-92; she was the second Pacific Mail vessel to carry this name. Focus of item: Peru (1892-1919).
