Reasons for passing an extensive act of insolvency, : humbly offer'd to the consideration of Parliament. The number of persons under confinement for debt in this Kingdom are so great, that the iudicious it has been thought even to exceed all other nations; and altho' in our happy constitution we may value our selves for liberty more than the neighbouring countrys: yet the insolvents who are no small part of the community are utterly deprived of that common right which every member ought to have to the liberty of his person, unless the Parliament interposes
