Purchased from Maggs Bros. Ltd. Rare Books & Manuscripts, December 2021. In vol. 3 of twelve pamphlet volumes bound for William Pearce (1744-1820). This volume is signed W. Pearce 1815 and has his ms. table of contents. Probably from a collection begun by James Golborne, and the title page has the cropped tail of what may be a letter J. Ely Cathedral Library copy, sold at Christie's (30 May 1986:196). Volumes 3-8 of the twelve bought by the Huntington from Maggs Bros., Nov. 2021; the other six were evidently sold earlier and their whereabouts is unknown.
