Broadside, illustrated with woodcut of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Contains a sonnet offering thanks to Mexico's patroness the Virgin of Guadalupe for Mexico's recently-won independence from Spain. The broadside is undated, but the references to the liberation of Mexico from Spain along with paper and typographical evidence point to an 1820s publication.

Item is a broadsheet, possibly used for a relgious ceremony or home devotion, issued for the 300th anniversary of the Marian apparitions begining in 1531. Contains 12 stanzas with a refrain. Text is centered within a decorative border.

Tickets of admission cost two dollars, and prizes ranged from 5 cash gifts at $10.00 dollars each, to 200,000 gifts amounting to $400.00. The print is surrounded with a decorative border, and text on the broadside is written in about eight different font styles.
