Katie Paterson's Future Library is a large scale public art project commissioned by Bjørvika Utvikling in Oslo, Norway as part of the Slow Space public art program. For the next century it will exist in two forms--as a print, and as 1,000 trees. The texts will be held in a specially designed room in the New Public Deichmanske Library, Oslo. The first writer to contribute was Margaret Atwood. This work consists of one original, signed and stamped certificate of authenticity, one archival letter, signed by the artist, and a final anthology of 100 texts printed on paper made from the forest in Nordmarka grown for Future Library to be released in 2114. The anthology cannot be collected without the archival letter signed by the artist and a copy of the certificate.

    Collection of items related to Alonzo Orson Perry and Mormon history. Includes a biography of Perry by Almeda Perry Brown, a family history of his wife Ann Janette Stowell Perry (1849-1912), a mission certificate signed by Brigham Young (1876), a certificate of his residence at Mill Ward in the Uintah Stake (1899), a copy of a certificate of his ordination as high priest (1907), Also includes a printed pamphlet of a revelation given through John Taylor relating to George Teasdale and Heber J. Grant and copies of two photographs of Egyptian papyrus reputed to be Joseph Smith's Book of Abraham.

    Certificate of land warrant

    This item is a numbered certificate indicating that an individual has paid $500 to the Independence Loan Fund of the Republic of Sonora, for which he will receive one league of land in the public domain. Printed form, numbered 68, and signed by William Walker, but no name of the payer is entered. It was Walker's intent to create a Republic of Sonora, but his plans were not sanctioned by either Mexico or the United States.

    Certificate regarding Steamboat Experiment

    This certificate certifies that the Steamboat Experiment, owned by Charles Bush and George Lobdell, has had a "thorough examination of the Hull of said Boat" and that it is "sea-worthy, and fit to be used in the Transportation of Freight and passengers." It also certifies that the boat is between three and four years old and was built in Pottsville, Pennsylvania in 1845. It is signed by Thomas Young and Jacob Alrichs at Wilmington, Delaware.

    Certificate stating that Amelia Wolf has passed her exams at the Common Schools of Pennsylvania, Cumberland County, 1858 April 14. Certificate is signed by Daniel Shelley, County Superintendent. There is also a cut-out illustration of Young Ladies' Institute, Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
